USA Pickleball National Championships Moving to Dallas
Pickleball is set to take center stage in the upcoming 2023 USA Pickleball National Championships. It is presented by the Carvana Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour). Yes, you heard it right!
The event is moving from Indian Wells, California to the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas. With an increased capacity of more than 3,500 amateur players and all the pickleball’s top pros. The tournament will last nine days from November 4-12 and will feature up to 65 courts for its expanded field.
USA Pickleball Organization stated: “The following three tournaments on the 2023 Carvana PPA Tour will be sanctioned by USA Pickleball as Golden Ticket events and serve as qualifiers for the USA Pickleball National Championships: the Selkirk Texas Open (rescheduled to May 31-June 4), the Seattle Open (July 27-30) and the Kansas City Open (August 24-27).”
In addition, USA Pickleball has also added three new Golden Ticket events on PPA Tour calendar this year. This means even more opportunities for top amateur players across the country to qualify for Nationals. So, players who qualify can look forward to enjoyment as well as prizes during their stay at Brookhaven Country Club.
So, yeah, it can be said this will be a record-breaking event of this year. As it will be the largest pickleball tournament ever held with total estimated attendees reaching 25,000. Plus, the prize money for professional divisions this year will exceed $150,000—the largest purse in the tournament’s history.
