The Meijer State Games of Michigan pickleball tournament will take place from June 9-11, 2023, at Belknap Park in Grand Rapids, MI. It is open to all players of any age or skill level and features singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.
The Meijer State Games of Michigan pickleball tournament will use a round-robin format for all divisions. The skill levels are 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0+, and the age groups are 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, and 70+. Tournament directors reserve the right to add or combine age groups depending on registrations.
The pickleball tournament registration fee was $45 per player plus $10 for each additional event. The registration deadline is June 8, 2023. But, you can’t register now as the 2023 Meijer State Games of Michigan is SOLD OUT. There is a USA Pickleball sanction for the tournament.
The pickleball tournament will use the Onix Dura Fast 40 – Neon Green ball as the primary ball. The court surface is concrete, and the net is permanent. The tournament is an outdoor event with no indoor backup.
Pickleball tournaments are also qualifying events for the 2024 State Games of America. Any athlete who places 1st, 2nd, or 3rd can compete in the 2024 State Games of America hosted in San Diego, CA.
